Printing Size Too Small

Suddenly we got, our printer is just malfunctioning with printing. It's printing very small portion of the page with very small font.We have checked that, there is no problem with "Page Layout". Also sometime we have checked by connecting printer into the another computer. And the good thing is, the printer is just working fine into that computer. In that case, we can easily realize, our printer is okey, because of, it's working fine into another computer. Then, where is the problem? 

The problem is simple. Just check out your "Paper Size" into the printer driver at "Device & Printer". May be the paper size which is selected into your "Printing Preferences" that is wrong. Just make sure, the paper size is selected as your demand. Such as A4, Legel, Leter.

After selecting the paper size, print your document. Hope, this time, it will work fine.

To access "Printing Preferences" of your printer, just go to the "Device and Printer". Now locate your printer driver and then right click it and select "Printing Preferences". Now search for "Page Size" or "Paper Size" option. The location for these option is varied from printer vendor to vendor.

Find Font Name From PDF Or MS-Word.

Sometime it is necessary to know the font name from a file such as MS Word or PDF file. Without installed correct font you are not able to read that file. The file with font missing looks like the following.....

In that case, for reading that file we have to installed correct font which has been used to make that file. To installed correct font we should know the font name. In MS Word, simply we can know the font name by keeping the cursor into the text and MS Word automatically detect the font name and show it "Font" option. Here it is.....

In any PDF file, there is also a way to find out the font name which has been used to make it. This way will be varied by PDF software. Here I am using "Adobe Reader" and "Nitro PDF Reader". Just open your PDF file and go to File > Properties > Font. Here you will get the font name. The option is same for both software. But "Properties" option is rename to "Documents Properties" into the "Nitro PDF Reader". Here is the sample view for "Adobe Reader".

Just go to the "File" and then go to the "Properties".

Now select the "Fonts" tab.

Go to the "File" option

Now navigate to "Document Properties"

Now select the "Fonts" tab. Here you will get the font name which has been used.

Now you are ready to install correct font for your document because you have learned all of the font name.

Here's another simple issue. Commonly we have badly needed to convert our PDF file to Word or any other text format file. Sometime we have faced, after conversion to text format, the file is not readable. Yes....that is font issue. The font is unknown for computer, that's why the file is unreadable. For resolving this issue, first of all, find out the font name from PDF file and download that font from internet or collect anyhow and then install it into your computer. Now open your converted document. Hope it will open now.

[Note: - Font name will not display for any scan document. In that case, there is some online site, they offer to resolve font name after uploading the file into their website.]
