Mikrotik How to Send Email (Step by Step) - Couldn't Perform Action - AUTH Failed (6)

There is an option in the MikroTik Router to send email automatically if any given criteria has fulfilled. The option is called "EMAIL" into the "Tools" menu.

I will show you step by step walk-through (with screenshot) to send an email from the MikroTik router to your gmail account.

Now login to MikroTik router using "winbox" and go to 'Tools' menu. Here, select  "Email" tools.

Here, the server address will be 173.194.77.108 and write down the port number 587. From "Start TLS" field select "yes".
Fill up the "From" field with any name as you wish such as (Mr. X).  "User & Password" will be your Gmail ID & Password.
Now click on "Apply" button.

Now click on "Send Email" option.

Here write down the server address as 74.125.24.109 (address of smtp.gmail.com). The port number will be the same as 587. Tick the TLS button.
Into the "To" field, write receiver email address such as someone@gmail.com
Again, "From" field will be the any name as you wish such as (Mr. X).

Now click on "Send Email" and get an error message like following.

To stop this error message, just login your gmail account and go to account settings.  From "Sign-in and Security Section" select "apps with account access" option.

Now enable the "allow less secure apps" feature.

Now everything is complete. Send an email again and this time it would be successful without any error message.
