Kaspersky Update Through A Workgroup PC Or Workstation

Generally "Kaspersky" internet security, update through the internet connection. But if you want, you update it through the workgroup pc or computer. One of the pc of workgroup collect update data from internet, and after data collect, then distribute to another computer.To perform this task, it is necessary to one pc connected to internet. That pc collect update data from internet and save his local hardisk to distribute. Generally that location is "Window's drive > Document's and Settings > All User > Application Data > Kaspersky Lab > AVP11 > Update Distribution. [Please inform that, "AVP 11" folder name is vary it's version no.] Generally, by default, "kaspersky " not saved update information when update is complete. You must enable this feature using the "kaspersky" console.

Please follow the following  step about "Kaspersky Internet Security 2011" to enable this feature :-

First of all open the "Kaspersky" console and go to the "settings" tab

then click the "Update Center"

Now check the option "Copy Update To Folder".

Now kaspersky download the update database and save the above  location . If you want, you change this location here :-

To share the kaspersky update to other workgroup computer, please share the "Update distribution" folder of that location with correct permission.

 Now go to the another workgroup pc and open the "Kaspersky" console. Then go to the update center and then click "update source"

Now please uncheck the "Kaspersky lab update service"

 And then click "add" option and locate that share folder. Now "Kaspersky", update information collect from that pc which are located and no need to internet connection. If you want, you update "Kaspersky"  in remote pc by the pendrive. Just copy the "update distribution" folder or shared  folder in your pendrive and  change the source address or location in remote PC for "Kaspersky" update, by the located that pendrive or update folder.

Prevent Changing The Wallpaper in xp

Sometime it's very disgusting when anyone change my wallpaper. We can easily restrict to anybody to do the changing wallpaper. Please follow this step for implement this :-

First of all go to "start" on the desktop and then choose "run". Then write "gpedit.msc" and then press "enter".
Then select "User Configuration" and then select "Administrative Template". Then select "Control Panel". And then select "Display". Now please double click the "Prevent Changing Wallpaper" option. Then approach the following image :-

Now select the "enable"  option. And then select apply and ok respectively.

Now anyone can't change the wallpaper. If you want to allow to change wallpaper please select "Disable" option.

"There Is Not Enough Space Available For The Recording Process" .......

Most of the users use "NERO" soft for DVD or CD writing. This is a common problem for CD or DVD writing. When we want to write a DVD or CD then encountered an error " There Is Not Enough Space Available For The Recording Process ". Although the DVD or CD is blank. Actually, the error massage wants to say's "there is not enough space on the hard drive for the temporary file which creates "NERO" during the burning process for completing the burn. The error message is following:-

You can resolve it by the following procedure:-


The error message shows you one path or location where is no space for creating a temporary file to complete the burn process. Which shows the following:-

You can fix this problem by goning to that location and delete the existing temporary file. After deleting the temporary file then you try again for DVD or CD writing.

If you want to increase the memory size against of delete a temporary file, you need to change the temporary file path. You can do this by the following step.


Please note that the option is a different base of the "NERO" version. First of all please select the "more" option

Then select the "configure" option

Then approach the following image and navigate the "cache" tab.

Now Please change the path or location under the "path for cache" option

Now the default temporary file path or location is changed.

Folder Is Not Showing The Pendrive

Sometime we can't see our necessary folder in pendrive. Because the folder automatically hide. We can find it by showing hidden file or folder. Generally we know to be hidden file showing check the option is " Show Hidden File And Folder " in folder option. After you check the option for showing your file, it also now don't show your file. Because the folder is not only "hidden", it is "Super Hidden" position. Normal hidden file showing by the check the option "Show Hidden File And Folder" in the folder option. And super hidden file showing check the option "show hidden file and folder" and uncheck the option "Hide Protected Operating System File", according to following image :-

Then press apply and ok. You can now see your folder in pendrive.


If you want you can "super hide" a folder by the following procedure :-


First of all create a batch file. To create a batch file Right click desktop > New > Select "New Text Document". Then go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Option > Navigate "View" tab and unchecked the "Hide Extension For Known File Type". After unchecked the option then returned the "New Text document". Right click the "New Text Document" and choose "rename" option. Rename it by "superhide.bat" , then right click the file and choose "edit" and then type

                                    attrib +s +h +r %1%


After type is finished, save the file. Now drag the file, which file you want to super hide and drop on the "superhide.bat" file. Now the file super hidden position. You can release the file from super hidden position the following procedure :-

Create a file by the above procedure and rename it by "clearsuperhide.bat" , and then right click the file and choose "edit" . Then type


                          attrib -s -h -r %1%


After type is finished, saved the file and dropped on it which folder or file you want to release.

Folder Option Not Found In Tools Of XP

Sometime we don't find the folder option in tools of XP. Generally we know it's happen for virus affection. For resolve this problem most of the user re-install their operating system (os). Really it's not need for resolve this problem. We can do that more easily by the following instruction :-

First of all, scan the whole computer by a updated anti-virus and be sure that, the computer is totally virus free. Then go to the "start" bottom and then chose run. You can find it by press "windows key + R". Then type "gpedit.msc". Then you find the following image.

then chose the user configuration

then chose the "Administrative Template"

Then chose the "Windows Component"

Then chose the "Windows Explorer"

Then select the "Remove the folder option menu from the tools menu.

If there is selected "not configured" option, then select enable and select apply.

 select enable

press apply and close the window. Then go the same option and select "disable" or "not configured"

Now go the "My Computer" check the tools menu for "Folder Option"

WGA Notification remove In XP (Window Genuine Notification Advantage)

If your version of windows XP is pirated then after installing windows update from microsoft website you are prompted a pop-up in the notification area of taskbar. That is "windows genuine advantage notification. This copy of Microsoft Windows XP is not genuine”. At the same your desktop wallpaper is change by black screen. Such as :-

That is very disgusting for any user. You can remove it more easily by following this procedure :-

First of all remove a subkey from registry called wgalogon. That registry location is


"HEKY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\Winlogon\Notify\Wgalogon



select wgalogon from console and right click then choose delete. After deleting the subkey restart your computer and start with safe mode. Please press f8 to start the computer with the safe mode after the computer restarted. After running the computer go to the "My Computer" and then select tools then select  "Folder Option". Now you will appear the "Folder Option" interface. Now navigate the "View" tab and check the "Show hidden file and folder" and uncheck "Hide protected operating file system (Recommended)" opiton. then delete the following file from C:\windows\system32 location

wgalogon.dll

wgatray.exe

legitcheckcontroll.dll.

After delete the above file then restart your computer

The wgatray.exe process makes the check for genuine windows software. Wgatray.exe runs in the background to validate your Genuine Windows XP software against a list of serial numbers that are blacklisted by Microsoft.

Note:- When you implement this task please confirm you are not connected to internet. Sometime it create problem and must delete subkey from registry before the login in safe mode.

If any problem for completing this task, please try to end the process called "wgatray.exe" in taskmanager. To end the process "wgatray.exe" go to the "taskmanager", than select "end process" in the bellow from "taskmanager".

Sometime computer browser service automatically stop. When we try to start it then the computer browser service start but immediately  automatically stopped. For resolved this issue we must ensure that, the firewall is on and also ensure that the file and printer sharing option is selected in exception list.

Auto Manage Network Password

Do you want to manage your network password automatic, you can do it just a few simply step.

If u don't want to provide password when you access another network computer or workgroup computer, you can do it by the following process :-

First of all click Start bottom > Control Panel > User Accounts > Select user which you use to log in > Choose Manage My Network Password, then click Add and provide desire computer name which you want to connect in the server box. Then provide user name which you use to connect to desire pc provide password.

User name should be entered by following style :-   Username@domain, Domain\username

                           Username@workgroup
                           Username@computername
                           Workgroup\username
                           Computername\username


 One example Admin-1\remote    Where admin-1 is a computer name and remote is username
