Excel Open Additional Blank Workbook

One of the most notable of the Microsoft Office application is "Microsoft Excel". For those who usually work with numerical data, this software is very popular for them. There are many kinds of problems users are facing when using this software. Among these various problems, today we will discuss about one problem regarding "Opening Additional Blank Window or Workbook".

In more detail, when we click to open an excel file, the file is open without any problem as well as one another additional blank workbook or window also open. It is a little bit annoying, even if, it does not do any harm to our work.

Today, we will discuss how to stop this additional workbook or window from being opening.

Behind this extra workbook or window is open, an excel "Add-Ins" works, which is named "MySQL For Excel". When we disable this "Add-Ins", excel will not open any additional workbook or window. We can get this "Add-Ins" in the category of "COM Add-Ins".

I mentioned the instructions on how to disable "Add-Ins" with the picture.

First of all go to "File" and select  "Options". Now excel options window will appear.

Now select "Add-Ins" option.

Now select "COM Add-Ins" from Manage section.

After the select "COM Add-Ins", now click on the "Go" button. Now "COM Add-Ins" window will appear.

Here deselect the "MySQL For Excel" window and click on "OK".

That's it. Your problem should be solved now. No more additional window will open.
