Host in a vSAN cluster does not have vSAN service enabled.

At the time, we enable the vSAN service on the vSphere cluster, the necessary vSAN configuration will be done on all the host of that cluster automatically.

Moreover, when we add a new host to our vSAN enabled cluster, then that new host will be configured with the same vSAN configuration automatically.

In this article, we will discuss about an error message, that is appearing during that vSAN configuration process.

The error message is :-

"Host in a vSAN cluster does not have vSAN service enabled."

This error message indicates that, one of the host of our cluster is not configured with the  VMkernel adapter that have vSAN service enabled.

To resolve this issue, we have to create a new VMkernel adapter that have vSAN service enabled. Or we can use a existing VMkernel adapter and enable the vSAN service on that adapter.

Also, please make sure that, the VMkernel adapter is connected with vSAN network.

That's it. Now, the vSAN configuration process should be completed successfully without that error message.
